Currently: 10th Grade student, 15 yo Sophomore at Providence Day School in Charlotte, NC (straight A student, many AP level classes now)

  • 2027 Graduating Class

Started playing baseball at age 5, Myers Park Trinity T Ball

Machine pitch age 6, Myers Park Trinity Little Leauge

Kid pitch age 7, Myers Park Trinity Little Leauge

Travel ball age 7-9, Park Sharon Nationals – Coach Travis Thompson

  • Won the USSSA World Series, age 9 – Space Coast, Florida
  • Started to pitch, threw strikes but not much velocity. One of the smaller kids on the team

Travel ball 10 – 12: Started to pitch a lot of innings, COVID happened, hard to play and practice

  • Park Sharon Nationals – Coach Mike Pirro

Travel ball 12-13: Moved to big field. Started to grow, became one of the bigger kids (shoe went from size 7 to size 12 in 9 months)

  • Corn Dogs – Coach Daniel Cook
  • Team 24 – Coach Tommy Ashley

Tommy John surgery on 9/8/2022

  • Was pitching Saturday and Sunday's without proper warm up or shut down routines and also playing 3B and OF
  • Started throwing in the low 80's, became too much on the arm
  • Dr. Pat Connor in Charlotte performed surgery, realized I had a full UCL tear and broke the bone in right elbow. My dad is friends with Dr. Kent Ellington at OrthoCarolina and they provided me with exceptional care.
  • My dad knows Tommy John well and is a long time client and friend of my dad. Tommy gave me his NY Yankees game worn home jersey from 1989 which has hung on my bedroom wall so I know all about his story

Rehab and Recovery

  • Worked with Alan Tyson and Nev Markel to get rehabilitated
  • Stared becoming very focused and serious about pitching. My dad challenged me to come back stronger and also read a lot of books (read 1 book every week….biographies, science fiction, business books, self help). Started playing Chess competitively, worked out legs and lower body
  • My dad introduced me to Jim Rooney, from ‘Toe the Rubber'. Jim managed my throwing program post TJ and completely changed my mechanics. Would get upset if I brought a radar gun or even talked about Velocity
  • Grew from 5'8” 120 lbs pre Tommy John to currently 6'2” 175 lbs today

Currently

  • Had a great summer 2024 season with awesome coaches and teammates. Got to play with Coach Dave Dagastino and guest play with some nice teams but not overthrowing. Limited to 60 pitches and have a very strict warm up and shut down routine. Stretch and train for 2 to 3 hours every day
  • Threw up to 88-89 and was invited to attend the PG National Sophomore Showcase in Marrietta, GA in June 2024
  • Recently joined the Charlotte Baseball Academy 2026 team which has 10 players committed to high level D1 schools.
  • Declared as a PO which has taken a lot of pressure off of overthrowing and allows me to focus on pitching
