- It's once again time to get gutsy with Liz Hall and her expert guests on the Gutsy Babe Podcast. - Hey, welcome to Gutsy Babe podcast. I'm Adam banning your producer, and I am so happy to be here today to tell the origin story of our host, the original Gutsy babe herself, Liz Hall. Hey Liz, thanks for joining us today. - Thank you, Adam. I'm really excited to be here. - Well, we are really excited about this podcast, but we gotta find out more about you and give the background of Liz Hall, the gutsy babe, so people know where you're coming from. So where were you born, Liz? - I was born and raised in the Central Valley of Modesto, California. So I guess you could call me a real true valley girl, - You, valley girl. - You know, Modesto was a really great place to grow up. As I've gotten older, I truly appreciated my hometown. However, I always knew that I wouldn't end up in my hometown. So now I reside in Pasadena, California and I call this area home now. - Aha. Well, you know something, I'm sensing a bit of world traveler inside you, but we'll get to that , you know, let's, let's get into one of the ways that people define others. And I, I love this, define where they're coming from and their strengths and their weaknesses is asking, what's one of the first biggest challenges you had to overcome when you were growing up? - Oh boy. Where to begin? I guess one of my biggest challenges when I was a kid is that my parents moved around town a lot. They were always moving to nicer neighborhoods, bigger homes. 'cause they were always upsizing. But because of that I had to switch schools a lot. I ended up going to four elementary schools, two high schools, and one middle school. So it wasn't easy being a kid. - I, I was expecting a partridge in a pear tree at the end of that line. ? - Yeah. Yeah. I did switch. I did have to go to a lot of schools. But you know what, I will say that it helped mold me to who I am today. I was shy when I was a kid, but it has forced me to get outta my shell and I had to force myself to, to meet people and meet friends. So it taught me to really adapt in any situation. So I would honestly have to say that it has become one of my superpowers till this day. Now I could go to social events and business events and I have no problem just approaching someone and developing a relationship with them. So I truly do believe that it stemmed from my childhood of learning to adapt from all the schools that I attended to giving me one of my biggest superpowers today. - That is dynamite. Did you know that the oldest superpower out there is your superpower? It's adaptability. Charles Darwin was misquoted in his work about evolution. They always said about his work that it was about survival of the fittest and if you really read his work, it wasn't about that. It was the survival of the most adaptive. So being adaptable is the first and most powerful superpower, not only for survival, but to thrive as well. So you go girl. - Amazing. - There you go. So, so what was the first career you thought you wanted to pursue? I, I remember for me it was I wanted to be, uh, a paleontologist. What was yours? - Believe it or not, I wanted to be a park ranger in Yosemite National Park. - Really? - Yeah, I did. Wow. That's cool. Yeah, in college I took forestry courses and really tried to pursue it. I love the outdoors, I still do, but I realized once I truly pursued it, it wasn't for me. It's funny because when I tell people this about me now they seem to be shocked or hard for them to believe that that's something that I wanted to pursue. But it still comes out from time to time when I'm on hikes with my girlfriends and I'm pointing out the names of the, the trees or the birds and I give them their botanical names. So, um, I enjoy doing that. It just comes out naturally in me and it's just kind of fun for me. So it still comes out . - So the next time I get lost in the forest, I'm gonna yell your name. Okay. . - Okay. - There we go. We'll see what happens. We'll see what, hopefully I won't attract like some sort of wild animals or something. . Right. So as you grew up through your adulthood, what did, as as, as a younger person, what did you think the world needed more of and how did you help develop that in your character? - I would've, to say kindness. I've always tried to be kind a kind person. I recall attending a high school reunion, and I won't say which one , but I do remember, I'm - Sure it was your 10th reunion, right? - Yes. We'll go with that. . There we go. I do remember a few people coming up to me and saying, I remember you being so kind and nice to me in school. And that was so, that was such a nice compliment for them to share with me. And it's important because being kind is one of the simplest and easy things that you can do and have control of. You just never know what people are going through. So being a kind person to someone, it could be exactly what they needed for that day and it doesn't take much to do. - Yeah, exactly. That. That's, that's the way to change the world. God bless. That's great. Yeah, - The world can always need a little bit more kindness. There - You go. Well, we know that you are a successful wellness entrepreneur and well-known real estate agent in Los Angeles. How did you break into real estate? - I actually grew up in the business. My parents had a mortgage company and I remember hanging out in the office when I was a kid. I ended up working for my parents when I was young to earn extra cash. So I did try to fight it for many years, but I eventually caved in and realized it was in my gene and I was a natural in the business. I found myself really enjoying the process of helping people accomplish the American dream of owning a home and gaining generational wealth. I do love all aspects of real estate, but in the end I just like helping people. - That's dynamite. So let me get the timeline straight here. Did you go straight from your work as a naturalist and wanting to be a park ranger directly to your family business of real estate? - No, um, I have many layers. Adam many. - We, we, we, we are talking to a, an onion that doesn't smell bad here. That's as good . - I did try to fight the idea of working with the, uh, the same business as my parents. Right, right. As they mentioned for, for a long time. And I had a passion of exploring the world. So I ended up working in the friendly skies and became a flight attendant. - So you worked for the Friendlys skies, you were a flight attendant, okay. Yeah. For many years. Where did, where did you get to live? Where did you get to visit? Tell, tell us a little more about that. - Yeah, I lived in Dallas, Arizona, New York, and it brought me to Los Angeles and that's when I fell in love with la um, in my early twenties. It was a lot of fun and I loved it, but it was also a lifestyle and it also started affecting my health. - Huh. - Yeah, I, I had endometriosis most of my life that affected my bowels. So when I started flying, it seemed to have made it worse. So I was constantly constipated and it was no fun. Uh, I eventually had to resign from the airlines and that's when I went into the family business of real estate. - Let's talk about your highly acclaimed product called Travel Ease. That's Travel, EEZE. Um, what led you down the path to really creating one of the most effective and convenient natural products for travelers? Constipation. And I say this from the perspective of dealing with some of the top manufacturers of supplements out there and my experience with this product was pretty amazing and quite unusual to the positive. So what led you down this path to make this product? - As I mentioned, I've dealt with constipation most of my life from my endometriosis. And when I was a flight attendant, it only made it worse. I became an expert from my own personal experience. I tried everything for relief from stool softeners, laxatives, to even colonics. They all provided bad side effects such as cramping and urgency. No one likes that, I hated it. But when you are in search of relief, you will do anything. Many years later, I was on vacation with my husband and still dealing with constipation. I was afraid to eat, drink, or even leave our hotel room. I told myself that was enough and I'm not gonna let that ruin our life or my life anymore. So as soon as we got home, I took matters into our, my own hands and started researching and experimenting on myself with safe, natural ingredients. I was my own Guinea pig. That was the start of travels. It's made traveling easier and brought the fun back into our vacations. Yay, . - So can you share an aha moment when you finally perfected this truly amazing formula? - Yes. I recall sharing it with a few girlfriends of mine and they knew I had created a powder potion to help with my constipation and they started asking me to make some for them. So I guess the word got out with my friends and I started getting calls and text messages asking for product because they were going on trips and they didn't wanna experience their vacation constipation issues. I was in my kitchen at all hours making my super duper powder mix for people and it dawned on me that I wasn't alone in suffering. I even had friends who had their own containers I'm having to fill up on the regular. That's when I knew I was onto something that was my true aha moment. - So how can people learn more about travel ease and maybe get some of their own so they can try it and stop having constipation? - You could go directly to the [email protected]. That's EEZE natural health.com and purchase your very own Travel Ease packet. It comes in a small travel pouch with five individual stick packets. It's all natural, safe ingredients with no urgency, no runs and no cramping. You just go with ease. You pour it in a glass of water and you're good to go. When on the go - ? Well, let, let me, let me give you my personal experience with this because when I did go over to the Gutsy Babes, um, uh, uh, abode , um, to talk about the podcast, she had a big box of those packets there with the, the little sick packets. And I was like, I need some of those. And she's like, you, you have problems with concept? I said, yes, I do. So I tried it out. First of all, she mixed it up in front of me. I was amazed how quickly and easily it mixed with just a, a, a fork or a spoon. Okay. Yeah. And a glass of water. Yeah. The second thing I was amazed at and people all over, 'cause I come from the supplement industry and when people talk about their bar or their medical food, they go, oh, it's delicious. But most of the time, I'm sorry, that's sort of a lie I tasted, I'm like, this is really good. I actually just wanted to mix it up with seltzer and make soda. It was so good. So I'm like, chugging down this stuff, going, this isn't bad, this isn't bad. And she's smiling 'cause she's heard this before, . And then, you know, we finish up a meeting and I go home and I get this funny feeling. It's, it was a funny feeling like I had to go to the bathroom, but it wasn't like a feeling like I'm gonna have loose stool or, or a feeling like just gas. It was just, I have to go to the bathroom. So I go to the bathroom and I produce the most beautiful number two I've ever seen in my life. Literally full and lengthy. I, I looked down at it and I was about to be proud to it, but I was like, I've gotta give the pride back to Liz Hall did. I called her up afterwards and I said, my poo is amazing . And after it came out of my mouth, I realized, well, this is a strange way to say hello to a person, , but I'm sure you get that all the time with making this great product that you can get through easy natural health.com. That's EEZE natural health.com and you can get your own Also. I love the fact that you put it in those stick packets. Yes. Because I started using it inside my water bottle every turn around a water bottle. Okay. Mm-Hmm. . Mm-Hmm. . And, you know, it's boring, it's boring water. So I can add this to the water, drink more water 'cause it's delicious and it helps me do beautiful number twos, I am sold. So thank you gutsy babe for the creation of this. - You're very welcome. And you're right, you sending me that message. It's not the first message I've received about someone's bowels, . I actually get those text messages all the time and it makes me so happy. So thank you for sharing. - So let's talk about the Gutsy Babe podcast. Okay.
