With no races going on last weekend, we decided to pay a visit to our friends at 6D Helmets this morning to learn more about the men behind the brand and the creation of the helmet technology that changed the sport for the better. Bob Weber and Rober Reisinger are both former professional motocross racers who continue to live and breathe for the sport of motocross, long after their racing careers have come to a close. Eight years ago, the 6D ATR-1 helmet changed the way we all think about safety, as its patented Omni-directional impact reduction system was the first to ever address rotational impact brain injuries. Now, almost every premium helmet manufacturer has adopted some sort of new technology into their helmets to address the same rotational impacts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the 6D offices, and this is one of the most interesting and educational podcasts we've ever produced. Enjoy!
